Leave Management with Digital HRMS: Discover a System Driven Leave Application Process for the Employees
The HR department of an organization has multiple responsibilities, which include bringing new talent on board, employee training, managing leave and attendance of employees, setting parameters for fair performance appraisals, managing travel and expense requests, and more. As the organization continues to grow and more and more employees join the organization, managing the HR functions for the hundreds and thousands of employees can be a mammoth task. This is where a HR software comes into the picture.
A HR software like Digital HRMS is designed to automate every HR function in order to reduce the time and efforts of the HR personnel, and thereby increasing the overall productivity and efficiency. However, it’s not just the HR that benefits from an advanced HR software like Digital HRMS, as there are benefits in store for the employees as well.
In the current scenario, when so many organizations have their employees working from home, an automated HR software like Digital HRMS can help them manage attendance, work hours, and leaves, with just a few clicks.
System Driven Leave Application for Remote Employees with Digital HRMS
Digital HRMS is a Cloud based platform which means it is easy to access from any device, including mobile devices, without the need for download or installation on a system. This makes it possible for remote employees to access Digital HRMS from their own devices, just by logging in using their credentials.
The Leave Management module of Digital HRMS offers some Do-It-Yourself functionalities which the employees can perform directly by logging in to the platform from their browsers, without the need to send emails, and they are as follows:
1] Apply for Leaves
Digital HRMS allows employees to apply for leaves through the platform, without the need to send any additional emails or the need to speak to the HR department. The employee needs to visit the Leave & Attendance module and then click on the Leave tab to fill the required details to raise a Leave request on the platform.
2] Leave Pullback
Once the employee creates the leave request, there is also the option to pullback the leave request, until it is approved by the Manager. The employee needs to click on the Pullback link to pullback the Leave request.
3] Apply for Attendance Regularization
Similar to the Leave requests, the employee can also raise request for attendance regularization (AR) in case the working hours are not registered in the system due to technical issues, or if the employee is out of office for business purpose. Depending on the scenario, the AR can be Day-based or Time-based.
To apply, the employee needs to click on the Attendance Regularization tab, and fill the required details.
4] Attendance Regularization Pullback
Once the employee creates the AR request, there is also the option to pullback the request, until it is approved by the Manager. The employee needs to click on the Pullback link to pullback the AR request.
5] Apply for Work from Home
Similar to the Leave requests, the employee can also raise request for work from home (WFH) in case the employee needs to work from home under specific circumstances.
To apply, the employee needs to click on the Work from Home tab, and fill the required details.
Once the employee raises the request, it moves to the L1 and L1 Managers for approval, and they get notifications for the same on their dashboard once they login to Digital HRMS. The employees also receive email updates when the requests raised by them are approved by L1 Manager, and then the L2 Manager.
So, we see that Digital HRMS does offer many options for employees to rise requests just by logging in to the platform. This feature is ideal for remote employees or in the current situation when employees are forced to stay indoors and work remotely because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
